French as a Second Language Instructor, Intermediate Plus Level

Sister Réjeanne Bourque is a member of the Congregation of Notre Dame. She served for several years as French coordinator in two school districts: 8 & 9, from Tabusintac to Stanley. She was a member of several organizations and committees dealing with second language teaching. She left the school system to accept the position of associate director of the Canadian office of Renew, where bilingual services were required for a church related program. After serving as resource person in a diocese of northern Canada, she returned to Miramichi, where she is actively involved in church and community. She provides occasional translation services for her congregation. She is always happy to be a « hyphen » (communication link) between our two language groups. Marguerite Pitre

French as a Second Language Instructor-Advanced level (tutoring)

Marguerite was born in Quebec city and has lived there for the majority of her life. With a grand-father from Gaspésie, a grand-mother from the St.Leonard region in New Brunswick, and a mother from Charlevoix in Quebec, combined with her training as a secreatary-receptionist in the Beauce region, this rich cultural mix has enabled her to learn different French expressions. By joining the Compello team, her goal is to not only share her knowledge of the language and to help students discover their linguistic colours, but also to help them feel more at ease with the language at any time and in any circumstances.

Stephanie Chenard
French as a Second language-Beginner's level

Stéphanie has completed a BA in Social Welfare and Native studies from the University of Nipissing in North Bay, Ontario. Being from the Québec and Ontario boarder, Stéphanie has grown up in a bilingual community. Stéphanie had no choice but to learn both official languages, since her mother was English and her father is French, a fact for which she is very grateful. Having moved several times, including to the Miramichi in September 2006, she has realized that being bilingual can only help a person move up the professional ladder. Coming from a "teaching" family, Stéphanie has always wanted to teach and believes that coming to the Compello team will help her help others. She is reliable, honest and devoted to helping and teaching students a new language
